During the STEM PBL project (2012), a group of middle school teachers from Connecticut met to develop recommendations for using the Challenges with middle school students or for differentiated instruction. The group developed a set of PBL Middle School Recommendations and Modifications(PDF) and adapted the Whiteboards for Middle School level (PDF). Two of the STEM PBL Challenges (TTF Watershed Partnership and FloDesign) were further adapted with vocabulary lists and level-appropriate resources. These can be found in the Teacher Resources section of those two Challenges.
